Over the weekend my mom and I stopped by a new subdivision in our town that just recently started getting developed. There were a few homes there being shown in the Parade of Homes tour. We had planned on stopping only by one builders' home which we were interested in seeing. We ended up stopping at all three being shown! I wish I had taken more pictures, but here are a few pictures of some of my favorite features of one house that we looked at. I noticed in all three homes that they all had white kitchens, built-in cubby walls near the garage entrance, and waist-height bathroom vanities. Oh and an abundance of beautiful white trim. The following photos are all from a house built by Diamond Peak Homes.
This is the amazing wood-look fiberglass entry door.
This is a cute little corner of landscaping, with a large outcropping stone that I would like to mimic in our own landscaping.
This is the dining area with beautiful white chunky trim that I think will look perfect in our own dining room.
The first barn door style I've actually seen implemented in a real house. If I had space for one, I would totally love to have one!
All of the doors in this home were solid painted wood Craftsman style, which I absolutely love the look of. Details like that really finish the house, in my opinion.
Possibly my favorite part of the house was the crown moulding. It was refreshingly simple, but really made an impact on all of the rooms. I hope we are able to get something similar for some of our rooms.
"Decorate Purposefully, DIY Frugally" is my motto for helping turn our newly constructed house into a home. This is where I document the home projects my fiance and I are tackling along with our fur-baby bulldog!
