For me this summer flew by way too fast! I can't believe fall is here yet again and now there are only 8 months until our wedding. Over the summer we were able to go up to my family's cottage to take some "non" professional engagement pictures that turned out better than expected thanks to my parents. Other than that, my time was spent doing small projects around the house. One of which, was painting our powder room bathroom a dramatic shade or dark gray/green which totally transformed the look for little money. We love how it turned out, and now can check one room off the list as being complete.
Since the powder room has no windows it is pretty difficult to photograph, but most of my photos look true to the actual color, which is Quarry Rock by Benjamin Moore color matched at my local Ace Hardware to their Clark and Kensington brand of paint. It did take two coats of paint to get full coverage color over the basic white that was there before. My plan is to add a large framed black and white landscape photo of my own to the main wall when you walk into the room. It will just take me some time to find the right frame, since I want it to be pretty large and matted.
Hopefully I can start posting more again as we complete more projects around the house. Selling on Etsy has kept me busy as well. I'll share some photos of current listings because they really blend well with what I have going on in my own home decor. My motto for buying and selling is that I always buy stuff that I would keep in my home because in the off chance it does not sell, it will have to stay at our home somewhere and I need to be happy with how it looks :)
*The paint colors in the first photo in order are: Quarry Rock (BM); Grant Beige (BM); Revere Pewter (BM); Pure White (SW).*
