Wow, I haven't updated the blog in what feels like ages. Over the winter I made a lot of progress on house projects including painting two bathrooms, organizing and getting the den situation figured out. The den is what is pictured above. The room has been a work in progress for some time, but I finally feel like I've found it's purpose which for right now, is my reading room and a place to store my Etsy goods!
Speaking of, my Etsy shop has also been taking up a lot of my time. It quickly has become like a second job for me, which I don't mind! A lot of my time is spent finding good picking places to find unique items to stock, and then photographing and listing everything for sale. On the flip side, it also takes up a good amount of time once something sells in order to pack it very carefully and get it safely shipped out.
I hope to be updating the blog more frequently considering I received a new Nikon DSLR for my birthday from Tom. It's amazing! It will definitely take some getting used to, coming from only taking pictures with an iPhone!
I still need to get some good photographs of the bathrooms to put up here. In the meantime, I also need to decide what to put over the settee in the den. I have two old windows that I've been sitting with for three years now. I think one may look really cool behind the settee. See below:
Hopefully by my next post I will have made a decision about that! Until then, feel free to check out my Etsy shop (link on the right side of the page) I try to frequently update with awesome vintage decor pieces! :)
One more thing, I mentioned Tom got me a sweet birthday present, but I forgot I hadn't posted since before Christmas. Since then, we got engaged! Our wedding is set for May 2017 <3
"Decorate Purposefully, DIY Frugally" is my motto for helping turn our newly constructed house into a home. This is where I document the home projects my fiance and I are tackling along with our fur-baby bulldog!
